About Royal Rinse Car Wash

Located at 2829 N Hwy 17, Mt Pleasant, SC 29466, Royal Rinse Car Wash operates as a car wash serving Mt Pleasant in South Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

In Mt Pleasant, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across South Carolina, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open Open 24 hours. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (980) 308-2967. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, royalrinsecarwash.com.

Its Google rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 46 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Equipment was left on the dirty stall floor by previous users, the wash timer was inconsistent and did not auto-reload, making you pay another $7 deposit-for “10 minutes” then 25 cents for every 20 sec. It didn’t even make it to five minutes each time. Worst car wash in mount pleasant. Super Suds on Coleman is much better. And they had landscapers at the busiest time of day blowing dirt and sand around freshly washed vehicles.

I don’t normally post reviews but this was so bad, I felt compelled to share. I need a touch less car wash for my car and came here today for the first time. Bought a $13 wash, followed the prompts and left. Got home and my car is filthy! I am taking pics of it to sell today and had to get out the hose and wash it myself on this balmy 40 degree day. Would not recommend at all - black streaks all over the car, not clean whatsoever and a sad waste of time and money.

$7 minimum for the self service bay! C'mon now. Decided to opt for the $5 express wash instead. ($5.50 with CC surcharge 😂) What a joke. The tire pic is after the wash. Did I go off-roading in my 4x4? Nope. The minivan went through some mud puddles during morning drop-off. Guess that was too much for the Royal Rinse.

I was in town visiting friends in Charleston and noticed how packed Royal Rinse was, so I figured I had to give it a shot — and I’m glad I did! Looks like they just opened, but everything was super clean and well set up. The chemicals they use are legit — my car looked amazing afterward! The pressure was fire, it removed all the grime off of my car effortlessly. Overall, really impressed. Definitely a solid spot if you’re in the area and want a quality wash!

Newly opened, amazing renovation. I barely recognize the place! All new touch-free car wash and new equipment in the self-serve bays including hand-held air dryers. Monthly subscriptions available for touch-free machine. I'll be back for sure!
